Salutogenese
Ein Gesundheitsmodell nach Aaron Antonovsky
Unser heutiges Gesundheitssystem basiert nicht auf Gesundheit. Es ist ein Krankheitssystem und basiert auf der Pathogenese.
Wie entstehen Krankheiten?
Welche Ursachen haben Krankheiten?
Wie können wir Krankheiten begegnen?
Welchen Verlauf haben sie?
Wie können wir sie therapieren?
All das sind Fragen, die uns heutzutage beschäftigen. Dabei vergessen wir, uns primär um die Gesundheit zu kümmern.
Als Ergänzung zur Pathogenese fehlt uns die Salutogenese. Die Prävention von Krankheiten. Die Frage danach, wie wir denn gesund bleiben.
Wir alle fahren in unserem Leben mit unserem Auto (Achtung Metapher) eine lange Straße entlang, an dessen Ende ein unumgänglicher Abgrund ist.
Die Pathogenese beschäftigt sich hauptsächlich mit denjenigen von uns und deren Auto, die zwischendurch gegen einen Baum gefahren sind, dessen Sprit ausgegangen ist oder die mit einem anderen Auto zusammengestoßen sind.
Zudem versucht uns die Pathogenese davon zu überzeugen, dass es das Beste wäre, überhaupt nicht Auto zu fahren.
Die Salutogenese beschäftigt sich hingegen damit, wie die Gefahren der Straße vermindert werden können und wie man Menschen zu sehr guten Autofahrern macht.
Wir brauchen heutzutage beides. Eine Verbindung von Salutogenese und Pathogenese wäre optimal.
Das Wort Salutogenese setzt sich zusammen aus dem lateinischen Begriff „salus“ für „Gesundheit“ oder „Wohlbefinden“ und „genese“, welches mit „Entstehung“ übersetzt werden kann. Salutogenese bedeutet also die Entstehung der Gesundheit. Der Begriff steht somit dem der Pathogenese gegenüber, der sich mit der Entstehung von Krankheiten befasst.
Der Soziologe Aaron Antonovski entwickelte ein Modell über die Eigenschaften, die man benötigt, um gesund zu bleiben bzw. wieder zu werden.
Das Modell basiert auf einem Verständnis darauf beruhend, dass Gesundheit und Krankheit ein Kontinuum darstellen. Demnach werden Menschen nicht einfach als „gesund“ oder als „krank“ klassifiziert, sondern man bewegt sich innerhalb des Kontinuums entweder in die Richtung des „Krankheit-Pols“ oder in die Richtung des „Gesundheit-Pols“. Die Extreme „krank“ und „gesund“ sind somit nicht mehr eindeutig, was eine ganzheitlichere Betrachtung des Begriffes „Gesundheit“ zulässt.
Das Kohärenzgefühl sorgt dafür, dass ein Mensch im Leben gut zurecht kommt und gesund bleibt. Dies beruht darauf, dass der Mensch Vertrauen in folgende drei Komponenten besitzt:
Besitzt ein Mensch ein stark ausgeprägtes Kohärenzgefühl, wird er flexibel auf Anforderungen bzw. Geschehnisse reagieren, indem er für die spezifische Situation die richtigen Ressourcen aktiviert.
Menschen können aufgrund verschieden stark ausgeprägter Kohärenzgefühle also unterschiedlich gut mit Krisen (Erkrankung, Stress im Beruf, Familienprobleme etc.) umgehen.
Wenn es tausende Medikamente gibt, wieso ist dann nicht jeder Mensch gesund?
Die heutige Medizin versucht die Symptome zu erdrücken, lässt dabei jedoch die wahren Ursachen außer Acht. Es braucht ein ganzheitliches Verständnis von Körper & Psyche, um Krankheiten frühzeitig zu entdecken.

Das Kohärenzgefühl ist stark verbunden mit der Resilienz (der Widerstandskraft des Menschen). Die Resilienz sorgt dafür, dass wir Krisen gut überstehen und diese uns sogar stärken können. Außerdem sorgt sie dafür, dass wir nach einer Niederlage schnell wieder aufstehen können. Auch ist die Resilienz die Kraft, die es uns ermöglicht, die eigenen Selbstheilungskräfte zu aktivieren.
Eine hohe Resilienz macht uns also widerstandsfähiger und unser Körper kann Störungen besser abwehren. Das führt dazu, dass einige Menschen seltener „krank“ werden als andere, obwohl sie potentiell gefährlicheren Umständen ausgesetzt sind. Stresswahrnehmung ist also ein individuelles Empfinden und Stressresistenz eine zu trainierende Fähigkeit im Rahmen von Resilienztraining.
Das theoretische Modell Antonovskys liest sich gut, doch wie ist das Prinzip der Salutogenese in der Praxis umzusetzen?
Wichtig ist, dass du Krankheiten nicht als Defekte wahrnimmst, die du reparieren musst. Krankheiten sind der Versuch des Körpers, einen „Fehler im System“ (bspw. Nährstoffmangel, zu hohe Virenlast, Gefäßverengung etc.) wieder zu regulieren. Viele „Krankheiten“ sind notwendig, um die lebenserhaltenden Funktionen des Körpers zu bewahren.
Beispiel: Die Blutgefäße deines Körpers, die Transportwege des Blutes, sind durch jahrelangen Stress, rauchen, schlechte Ernährung, zu viel Salzeinnahme etc. verengt. Damit der Körper das Blut noch weiter durch die Blutgefäße pumpen kann, antwortet er mit einer Erhöhung des Blutdrucks, der auf Dauer aber die Gefäßwände schädigt. Daher verschreibt dir dein Arzt Blutverdünner. Der Blutdruck nimmt ab und das Blut kommt wieder durch die verengten Blutgefäße. Problem gelöst, oder?
Was ist jetzt aber, wenn die Blutgefäße irgendwann soweit zugesetzt sind, dass der beste Blutverdünner nichts mehr machen kann?
Es kommt zu Herzinfarkten und Schlaganfällen. Nicht umsonst sind „Herz- Kreislauferkrankungen“ in Deutschland die Todesursache Nummer 1.
Die meisten Behandlungsmethoden der Allgemeinmedizin zielen auf eine Bekämpfung der Symptome ab.
Ziel sollte es sein, präventiv zu handeln und seinen Körper sowie seine Seele als einen Tempel zu betrachten, den man hegt und pflegt.
Betrachte die Gesundheit deines Körper ganzheitlich. Eine gesunde Psyche bedingt meist auch physische Unversehrtheit. Andersherum führen psychische Probleme häufig auch zu physischen Defekten.
Es sollte die höchste Priorität jedes Menschen sein, durch eine gesunde Ernährung und einen guten Umgang mit sich selbst ein starkes Immunsystem aufzubauen, um „Krankheiten“ im Vorwege keine Chance zu lassen.
Hierzu gehört eine überwiegend basische Ernährung, die Aufnahme genügend Mikro- und Makronährstoffe, die Vermeidung oder der richtige Umgang mit Stress (mache dir keine Sorgen, meditiere, mache autogenes Training…).
Im Allgemeinen hilft auch eine positive, zufriedene Lebensweise mit vielen Glücksmomenten.
Nimm das Leben nicht zu schwer und lebe nach dem Motto:
Tue heute etwas, wofür dir dein zukünftiges Ich danken wird.
Dich zu entscheiden, deine Gesundheit wieder in die eigenen Hände zu nehmen, ist sicherlich das Beste, was Du zur Zeit machen kannst.
